Working almost exclusively in the medium of colored pencil, Ginny Harding has captivated the hearts of horse enthusiasts for more than two decades with images that seem to come alive. The amazing Quarter Horse athlete, having had an enormous impact in every aspect of Ginny's life, seems to monopolize her canvases. An owner and breeder of running quarter horses, Ginny's driving passion to re-create the equine image reaches beyond the racetrack dragsters, encompassing all breeds and all events. Her subject may be a Kentucky Derby winner or a child's pet, and as she grooms every hair with her pencil and breathes life into the image, she finds she has the same passion for both. You may have seen Ginny's work in a backside kitchen or in an International museum. You may be most familiar with her cover work for such artistic publications as The Quarter Racing Journal, The Racing Record, Speedhorse, The Appaloosa Journal, The Quarter Horse Journal, or in the form of Rodeo posters for RCA Rodeos, or racetrack programs. Her collectors may hail from the backside tackroom to the cupola-adorned farms of the bluebloods. Whether it be a horse-crazy child or International Royalty, Ginny values each collector the same as the other. Second only to her love of the equine is her understanding of America's Native peoples as she creates each year, a new print that celebrates the history of this country and honors the original Americans. Ginny works from her farm/studio at the foot of the Horse Heaven Hills where the Snake and Columbia Rivers converge in beautiful Eastern Washington. She hand-cuts the 100% cotton mats that surround her originals and prints, and "You and I Framing" in Kennewick, Washington creates the unique hand-crafted frames that compliment all of Ginny's works. Great care has been taken in producing print editions of extrodinary quality and we stand by our custom museum mounting, matting and framing with our guarantee of satisfaction. Sincerely, The Team at Horse Heaven Gallery
